Radio Qualia

Is an online net collaboration from New Zealand. It was founded in 1998 by Adam Hyde and Honor Harger. In their projects they experiment with a wide range of internet streaming and traditional broadcast media such as radio.

I first heard Honor speak about Radio Qualia projects at the 2000, btv Conference in Sheffield. since then I have been fascinated by their work and recently picked up on their most recent work during a live webcast at the Evolution 2003 conference in Leeds. I was particularly interested in the part of her speech where she spoke about the aesthetisation of the mistake or the glitch, and mentioned artists such as Kim Cascone and Matmos.
